Hello World,

Well, it's time to start making my new project. This new project that I'm making is a music video and we have already run into some difficulties. The first difficulty that we had was trying to find the main actor in our music video. What we are planning on doing is to have someone play Justin Bieber and have a girl who would be "Justin's" crush, which would be me. We had someone in mind that would've been the perfect Justin Bieber but after about a week of trying to convince him, we were unable to get him into being part of our music video. So, we were on the hunt again for another actor. The backup actor that we had in mind was my friend Michael. He is as hard-headed as the first person that we tried to bring into our crew but luckily after constantly asking and bugging him, HE ACCEPTED!!!!!! For the filming schedule, we planned to film on Mondays since it was the most convenient day of the week for everyone. However, lately, everyone has something to do on that day and most of us are busy throughout the week as well. It's been a complicated journey for all of us but now we have to try and figure out a day for us to film in time so we can still edit it and turn it in on time. Honestly, I'm glad that Michael is going to be the actor in our music video. Since I'm the "crush" in the music video, it would've been really awkward to act in a somewhat romantic way with someone I'm not that close to. I feel like I'm going to enjoy the filming process a lot more and be more comfortable actually doing the music video since he is one of my closest friends. Anyway, I'm very excited to make this music video. When I was first assigned this project, I was pretty iffy about the whole thing. But now that we have chosen the song and made the storyboard about how our music video is going to play out, I've been getting more and more excited to actually make it. Something that I really want to use for this project is an actual camera for filming. I feel like it would be a lot more fun to film on a real camera and it would also be more professional. Overall, the only things that we have to get situated are what days we will be filming and make sure that everyone will be available on those days.

Hello World, Let's get to adding the finishing touches to the film. First, I went straight to the easiest tweak to get it over with, the spooky scene. Like I mentioned before, my mom said that it was too fast, so I slowed it down a bit. Rather than having the speed at 1.2x, I brought it down to 1.1x. By adjusting it the slightest bit, it made it better to notice and see spooky yet not interfere with the length of the video. Next, I went through and found every scene that included dialogue. One of the feedback that I received was that the music was too loud whoever the characters were talking. So, I lowered the volume a bit for every scene that involved talking. This took a while because only a small amount of scenes had no audio or conversation, meaning I had to edit the volume on post of the scenes. This process wasn't too bad but it took a good chunk of time, but the worst was yet to come. Fixing the timing of the titles was definitely the most time consuming adjustment I had...

Hello World, It's time for feedback. I first went to my parents to show them my film and get their opinions of it. My mom liked it a lot, but some things that she said was that the subtitles were going by too fast. Due to the how quick the subtitles appeared and disappeared from the scene, she was barely able to read what was written. Another comment that she had was that the scene where spooky appears in Daniel's room was too fast as well. According to her, she didn't really notice that spooky was in the room due to how fast the scene was. My dad didn't have much to critic about the film other than that he didn't like the transition to the flashback. He said it was too dramatic and it didn't really fit the film. He also suggested that instead of the Giovanna and Spooky facing the same way, we should invert Giovanna's phone call scene to make it look like they are actually talking to one another.
