Reflection

Hello world, Well, I'm done with the project. So... I guess it's time to reflect on it and the process of making it. During the journey of making this project, I had to learn how to use some new apps like CapCut, along with learning how to convert music files. For me, CapCut was fairly easy to use and navigate. It took me a bit of time to figure out how to place and rearrange the photos and videos to my liking. Since they were all out of order when I inputted them into the "project", it took me about 3-5 minutes to arrange them the way I wanted. When finishing that section of the project, I had to insert the music. This part took the longest because I had to record the audio onto my phone, edit it, and shorten it to what part of the song I wanted to use, then I had to use a file converter website to change the file type for me to be able to input it into the commercial. I also got to learn how to use YouTube, in a content creator aspect. I never knew how to upload vid

Hello World, After a couple of days of working on this project, I am happy to say that it's finished!! The only thing left was to ask for the opinions of some people so they could critique my commercial. After every person that I showed my project to, I asked for brutal honesty and if there was anything that I could do to improve it. When I was done "interviewing" everyone that planned on showing my project to, I would jot down their opinions and advices of how to make it better. The first two people that I showed it to was my mom and dad. My mom really enjoyed it and said that she liked the fact that I included gospel music in my project. My dad also liked it but wanted me to switch around the second and fourth photos. The next couple of people that I showed it to were some of my friends from church. I played it to them during life group and I barely got any editing feedback. They all said good things about it and once again, I got many complements about my song choice

Hello world, The time has finally come. I get to add my songs and finalize my commercial!!! The songs that I chose is Praise by Elevation Worship, Brandon Lake, Chris Brown, and Chandler Moore, along with Rest On Us by Marverick City Music and Upperroom. I chose these songs because they are currents two of my favorite songs. Whenever I listen to Praise, I always find a smile on my face while hearing it and reminds me of why and when I should praise the Lord, whether it be in my best or darkest times. I also chose Rest On Us because the second that I hear this song, my energy shoots up instantly. It give me motivation along with excitement for what God can and will do, whether it be worldwide or within me and how good it is. These songs represent what I believe in and represents who I am as a person. So, I felt like these two songs would go perfect with my all about me commercial. When inputting the songs into my project, I decided to used Praise for the first half of the commercial and

Hello world, I'm finally back!!! I was finally able to continue making my commercial today. Before I began placing the videos into the commercial, I had to make some adjustments to them. They were minor changes but they made a huge difference. All I did was shorten some parts within the videos, along with using some other editing tools to lighten them up and give them some life. So far, the editing parts of this project have been my favorite parts of making this commercial. Something that I realized in one of the videos was that the audio was very quiet. So, I researched on Google whether I was able to amplify the audio of a video by editing it and it said that I could!! What was even better was that I could do it directly through CapCut without having to use any other apps or take any more extra steps. It was actually pretty easy to fix the volume. All I had to do was make the video its own project, go down to the editing tools, and there was a volume button. Once I clicked it, I

Hello world, I have officially started making my commercial!!! I'm working with the photos first before the videos, songs, and the rest of the editing. I was finally able to choose the final 5 photos that I'm going to use for this project after a long decision process. I began by making minor edits to each of my photos. My dad has Photoshop on his computer, so I sent the photos to his computer so I could edit them. A majority of the tools that I used was the lasso tool so I could take out any unwanted items that were in the background or just the photo in general. I also used some retouching tools to fix the photos to my liking, along with a straightening tool so the photos could be completely straight. I got really annoyed during this process because I kept forgetting to separate the edits into their own separate layers. So, the editing kept getting messed up and every time the finished edit was changed, I would have to redo everything that I had previously done. But other th

Hello world, When it came to choosing my photos for my commercial project, it was honestly pretty difficult to choose which ones I wanted to use. I have a good amount of photos of me now but I have a BUNCH of photos from when I was younger and it was really difficult to decide which ones were cuter than the other. I also thought of including photos of things I like to do including going to the ocean and going to church. The idea that I had in mind was just including one photo of things I like to do or go to, so now I have to make the decision whether I'm going to add a photo for each or just choose the one I enjoy most. The process of finding the photos wasn't as hard as I thought it would be because I'm the main person in my family who takes and saves photos on cellular devices, so I basically had everything on my phone already. However, I also looked a bit through my dad's phone to see if he had any photos or videos that I might've not had in my photo library, an

Hi world,  I’m Giovanna Pereira and this is me (I guess). Well, I’m not really sure about what I should be saying so I’m just going to write whatever comes to mind. When I’m older, I want to be a lawyer (specifically a transactional lawyer) and I want to own my own law firm, I'd call it Dwell Law Firm. One of my greatest passions is God and the church. I'm extremely dedicated to the church and God has done the impossible in my life, so why not do the things that will make Him happy?! I'm currently a leader for a children's life group, I'm a host for a teen life group, and I'm part of a small team called the Enjoy X team. The Enjoy X team plans, set up, and takes control of the Enjoy X services (which is a church service for teenagers). In my life group for children, I currently lead 5 children. Their names are Enzo, Bella, Rhyara, Alan (I call him alanzinho), and Ben. Those children are one of the best things that have come into my life and I am grateful every d
