Hello World, We finally filmed everything we needed for the final task!!! Now, I get to fully edit the film and finish. I've inserted the last 3 scenes that were missing into the timeline in CapCut. But guess what... IT'S TOO LONG. The final task is supposed to be a maximum of 2 minutes long, however, with all the scenes it is currently 4 minutes long.  I felt like fixing the movie's length later so I skipped to the titles. I have never added titles to a video before, so this process was new to me. The text button was easy to find but inputting the text was a lot more complicated than I expected. I first began by creating the title "CHARLIE" and it was by far the title I had the most fun making. When I began playing around with the colors and transitions, I had it fade into the screen and change colors. When the title first appeared it was white and once the music began getting heavier, it would turn red right before the movie actually began. However, when I was

Hello World, I've gotten to the portion of researching and deciding the background music for my final task!!!! The first instinct was to use google as my research platform. When I was looking for a song, a majority of the websites kept mentioning copyright and I didn't expect for it to be this complicated to find music for our film. After lots of dead ends, I looked up the civil law on copyright so I could legally use a song and to not waste anymore time researching unusable music. After diving into the world of copyright, I found out that there a bunch of different types of songs. Some that I came across of were royalty - free songs, regular songs, and public domain songs. When I found out the different types I began to do research on each individual one. In the end, I found it best to go with a royalty-free song. The reason it because that compared to the others, it doesn't have as much legal responsibilities related to copyright, making it easier on my part. Once I narro

Hello World, Today we will be filming the missing scenes of our film. We weren't able to finish all of the scenes because we ran out of time, everyone's parents began to arrive earlier than we scheduled. Another reason why we weren't able to finish filming everything was because Daniel was having a hard time staying in character, memorizing the lines, and couldn't stop laughing. When I was at home, I filmed the scene where I was talking on the phone with my friend and the scene where Daniel ran into my room. The phone call scene was easy to film and I breezed right through it. For this shot, we filmed it at a tilt because we forgot to include that angle in any of the other shots. The harder scene to film was the one where Daniel ran into my room and told me that the creepy person that is stalking him was outside. It took a while to actually get a good take because he wouldn't stop giggling and would mess up his lines. After a couple of attempts, we were finally abl

Hello World, It's officially time to start the editing process of my final task!!! I began this process by gathering all of our final shots and put them into an album to make it easier to upload them into the editing app that I would be using. Figuring out what I was going to use to edit the final task wasn't difficult at all. In the past, I've used CapCut to edit both videos and pictures, so I found it best to use what I know works. Another perk about using CapCut is that since I've used it before, I'll be able to breeze through editing and it won't take much time as in previous projects. I then began to upload everything into CapCut and organizing them as they were written/drawn in the storyboard. Something that I had to do with every shot was shorten how long it was. The main reason for this was because when we were filming, we began recording a couple of seconds before the actors started to say their lines so the scene could come out more natural. I shortene

Hello World, So... we filmed yesterday. Everyone came over to my house yesterday at around 12 in the afternoon and we started to film the Target scenes. It wasn't was easy as I thought it would be to film there. It was annoying because people was constantly waling by us, which delayed our filming time. It was so embarrassing at one point because a man walked into the aisle while we were filming and he kept saying sorry multiple times for interrupting us. But anyways, we took advantage of the fact that we were there and grabbed a couple of the Target bags to use as props for the outside scenes, which was when we came back home and I told Daniel to grab the bags out of the trunk and saw the creepy spirit. Filming was so frustrating!!!! It took so long for us to be able to film each scene. The main reason why it took so long was because of Daniel. He kept getting distracted and he wouldn't stop laughing. I understand that at times it could be funny, but I feel like if he just foc

Hello World, We’ve arrived to the actual process of making our final task. We already have all of our actors, but it has been a struggle to land an actor for the spirit in our film. We originally had my friend Michael to be the actor, however, he had to take an emergency trip to Brazil so now he won’t be able to play the part. I’m trying to figure out who is going to fill in for him. I’ve asked a couple of people I know, so now I just have to wait for a confirmation. Our plan is to begin filming on the 19th of this month, mainly so everyone can come to my home and it ensures that they are free that day. Our goal is to be able to film everything on the 19th. But if we are unable to finish, we are going to find a day where the actors of the missing shots can come over to finish filming. Before the filming day, I have to go out and buy a prop that we need for the spirit in the film. The goal is to find a full length black coat for the spirit to wear. The reason for wearing is it so we ca
