 Hello World,

We’ve arrived to the actual process of making our final task. We already have all of our actors, but it has been a struggle to land an actor for the spirit in our film. We originally had my friend Michael to be the actor, however, he had to take an emergency trip to Brazil so now he won’t be able to play the part. I’m trying to figure out who is going to fill in for him. I’ve asked a couple of people I know, so now I just have to wait for a confirmation. Our plan is to begin filming on the 19th of this month, mainly so everyone can come to my home and it ensures that they are free that day. Our goal is to be able to film everything on the 19th. But if we are unable to finish, we are going to find a day where the actors of the missing shots can come over to finish filming. Before the filming day, I have to go out and buy a prop that we need for the spirit in the film. The goal is to find a full length black coat for the spirit to wear. The reason for wearing is it so we can get the same effect that the scary people have in horror movies. If we are unable to find the coat, we will just have the actor wear all black with a black hoodie to resemble our original idea. I have a lot of expectations for our final task!! I’m really excited to being filming!! The best part of this entire project is that I get to work with my friends and I remember how fun the last project was. So, I have no doubt that it will be just like or even better this time. So ya, that’s basically it. The main thing that we as a group are stressing with is finding an actor to replace Michael. However, I’m sure that everything will turn out ok. I let you guys know how the filming day went.

Hello World, Let's get to adding the finishing touches to the film. First, I went straight to the easiest tweak to get it over with, the spooky scene. Like I mentioned before, my mom said that it was too fast, so I slowed it down a bit. Rather than having the speed at 1.2x, I brought it down to 1.1x. By adjusting it the slightest bit, it made it better to notice and see spooky yet not interfere with the length of the video. Next, I went through and found every scene that included dialogue. One of the feedback that I received was that the music was too loud whoever the characters were talking. So, I lowered the volume a bit for every scene that involved talking. This took a while because only a small amount of scenes had no audio or conversation, meaning I had to edit the volume on post of the scenes. Hello World, It's time for feedback. I first went to my parents to show them my film and get their opinions of it. My mom liked it a lot, but some things that she said was that the subtitles were going by too fast. Due to the how quick the subtitles appeared and disappeared from the scene, she was barely able to read what was written. Another comment that she had was that the scene where spooky appears in Daniel's room was too fast as well. According to her, she didn't really notice that spooky was in the room due to how fast the scene was. My dad didn't have much to critic about the film other than that he didn't like the transition to the flashback. He said it was too dramatic and it didn't really fit the film. He also suggested that instead of the Giovanna and Spooky facing the same way, we should invert Giovanna's phone call scene to make it look like they are actually talking to one another.
