Hello World,
It's officially time to start the editing process of my final task!!! I began this process by gathering all of our final shots and put them into an album to make it easier to upload them into the editing app that I would be using. Figuring out what I was going to use to edit the final task wasn't difficult at all. In the past, I've used CapCut to edit both videos and pictures, so I found it best to use what I know works. Another perk about using CapCut is that since I've used it before, I'll be able to breeze through editing and it won't take much time as in previous projects. I then began to upload everything into CapCut and organizing them as they were written/drawn in the storyboard. Something that I had to do with every shot was shorten how long it was. The main reason for this was because when we were filming, we began recording a couple of seconds before the actors started to say their lines so the scene could come out more natural. I shortened the shots in my photos library before uploading them onto CapCut just to make it easier on my part when putting the clips together. After shortening everything, I began to upload all of the shots into the CapCut app. Once I put everything in order, I had to go through the shots we took and see which ones we had to remove the audio from. This didn’t take much time because we checked off on our storyboard sheet which scenes we had to edit out the audio. Since we weren’t able to film all of the shots that we needed to complete our film, I left a couple of gaps in the timeline so I can easily insert those shots. We haven’t chosen our song yet, so I skipped that part of the editing until our group decides which one we will use. However, I did play around with some of the effects. An effect that I am for sure including in the film is dissolving. I placed the dissolve effect on the last scene so it could signal the end of the film. I also included a fade effect, specifically in the first shot so we could ease into the film. Although I haven’t done much editing to the project, I have a good feeling that it’s going to turn out really good!!! I’m excited to see how it will turn out in the end.
Until next time!!!!!
