Hello World,
This is part 2 of the editing process. A bunch of shortening and removing scenes were done. Our video was too long, so for some scenes like the escalator scene we had to cut it down quite a bit along with speeding up some of the scenes as well. At first, I had to cut out the dancing scene. I was really upset about removing it but after making some tweaks, I was able to add it in again!!!! One of the biggest problems that I ran into was the audio. I had to record the audio 3 TIMES. The first time that I attempted to record the video, the audio wouldn't stop. For the second time, the audio was barely audible, meaning I could barely hear it. But thankfully, the third attempt worked since I screen-recorded it, however, I had to make adjustments since it wasn't properly aligned with the music video. There were some scenes that we had to completely remove including the first escalator scene, the scene of the main character seeing his crush for the first time that day and his friend saying that he's a fool, and the scene where the camera focuses on me (I play the crush in the video). The audio was the most time-consuming part of this entire editing process. After I figured out how to retain the audio at a good quality, I had to adjust it many times in order for it to fit into the video correctly. I had to do this twice. The first time that I moved around the audio, it was perfect. However, when I played the entire video to see how it was, I realized that I inserted a scene twice. This meant that I had to fix the audio all over again but this time around it was quicker since I previously made a majority of the adjustments. The next couple of decisions that I had to make were transitions. I barely inserted any transitions, the only one that made the final cut was some kind of fade in. Another transition that I put in the video while I was testing them out was a glitch, but in the end I took it out because I felt like it didn't look good overall. In my opinion, this was one of the easier parts of this project and I liked it quite a bit, I enjoyed putting all of the clips together and seeing this music video come to life.
Until next time!!!!!
