Hello World,

So... we haven't begun filming yet. I feel like this is so delayed because it is. I wanted to start filming earlier but none of us had time and everything felt so complicated. First, we were having a hard time finding all of the actors that we needed for our music video. Second, we were never able to figure out a day and time when we would all be able to get together for us to actually film. However, we are going to begin filming on Saturday!!!! We are going to film at Barnes and Noble because it was the first and best library that we could find which checks off all of our requirements. I had to do quite a bit of research on which library we would be able to film at because we aren't allowed to film on any school grounds. We are going to arrive at our local Barnes and Noble at around 1 p.m. since I have plans before that time and it fits the schedule of everyone better. If I'm being honest, I'm really excited to start making the music video. I feel like it's going to be quite awkward since we are going to be filming in a public place, along with the fact that I have to pretend to be attracted to my friend in a romantic manner. My hope for Saturday is that we will be able to film everything in one day. I'm going to be extremely busy in the next two weeks and I'll barely have time to dedicate another day to filming. But if Saturday doesn't go to plan, my group and I have agreed to go back to Barnes and Noble right after school on Monday in order to complete the video. Once it is done, we will be able to proceed to the next step, which is editing. I'm not that excited about the editing part because if feel as if it will take up a lot of time. I'm contemplating what I want to wear for this project. I've created a look for Justin Bieber already since he's the main character but I completely forgot about what I was going to wear as Justin Bieber's crush. My idea is either a black shirt with blue jeans or leggings with a hoodie. If I want to make my character look really pretty, I think that a black shirt and jeans would be the best fit. However, if it is for me to look comfortable and studious, leggings and a hoodie would be the better option out of the two. Well, let's see what will happen next.

Hello World, Let's get to adding the finishing touches to the film. First, I went straight to the easiest tweak to get it over with, the spooky scene. Like I mentioned before, my mom said that it was too fast, so I slowed it down a bit. Rather than having the speed at 1.2x, I brought it down to 1.1x. By adjusting it the slightest bit, it made it better to notice and see spooky yet not interfere with the length of the video. Next, I went through and found every scene that included dialogue. One of the feedback that I received was that the music was too loud whoever the characters were talking. So, I lowered the volume a bit for every scene that involved talking. This took a while because only a small amount of scenes had no audio or conversation, meaning I had to edit the volume on post of the scenes. This process wasn't too bad but it took a good chunk of time, but the worst was yet to come. Fixing the timing of the titles was definitely the most time consuming adjustment I had...

Hello World, It's time for feedback. I first went to my parents to show them my film and get their opinions of it. My mom liked it a lot, but some things that she said was that the subtitles were going by too fast. Due to the how quick the subtitles appeared and disappeared from the scene, she was barely able to read what was written. Another comment that she had was that the scene where spooky appears in Daniel's room was too fast as well. According to her, she didn't really notice that spooky was in the room due to how fast the scene was. My dad didn't have much to critic about the film other than that he didn't like the transition to the flashback. He said it was too dramatic and it didn't really fit the film. He also suggested that instead of the Giovanna and Spooky facing the same way, we should invert Giovanna's phone call scene to make it look like they are actually talking to one another.
