Storyboard for my Music Video


 Hello World,

My group and I got to the part of our project where we got to make a storyboard for our music video. Each box is a scene that will occur in our music video in the future, each scene will be a sequence of events.

Box 1: Justin Bieber (JB) is walking into a library with his two friends to study.

Box 2: The three boys walk into the library and JB notices that his crush is studying at the library as well. The girl was studying by herself.

Box 3: When he saw her, he was mesmerized and looked at her as if she was the love of his life. His friends don't believe that anything is going to actually happen between the two of them (the girl and JB), so one of his friends tells him that he's a fool.

Box 4: The girl is studying and minding her own business, she also doesn't notice that JB is there with his friends

Box 5: It is a split screen. On the left, it shows that the girl is studying. On the right, it shows how JB can't stop looking at her, resulting in him daydreaming about his crush.

Box 6: The girl gets up and goes to the Starbucks that is located in the library and buys herself some food and coffee.

Box 7: All three boys notice that the girl got up and one of JB's friends hypes him up by saying that he should go up and talk to his crush and that it's his chance.

Box 8: The girl got her food and coffee but her hands were too full, resulting in her straw falling on the ground. JB got there just in time, grabbed her straw on the floor, and helped her.

Box 9: When JB gives the straw to her, they touch each other's hands and make eye contact for a good amount of time, which inferences that she is intrigued by him.

Box 10: JB walks with her back to her table, they both sit down and then they begin talking.

Box 11: JB begins to confess his love to her and begins to move closer and closer to the girl. He starts to act creepy, which makes the girl feel extremely uncomfortable.

Box 12: This scene is just JB singing by himself directly to the camera.

Box 13: The girl gets up to leave because she feels very uncomfortable with JB. JB is confused about why she's getting up, the girl says bye, and begins walking away.

Box 14: JB gets up, and grabs her arm so she won't be able to leave. He begins to gaslight her, is very manipulative, is overall toxic, and this scares the girl.

Box 15: The girl is able to escape from JB's grasp and makes a run for it out of the library.

Box 16: When she opened the door and left the building, she headed to her car and JB was very angry inside of the library due to the rejection.

Box 17: The girl gets to her car, opens the door, and then JB runs to her to try to get to her before she is able to get into the car.

Box 18: He was unsuccessful and the girl was able to get into her car before he was able to get her. When she got into the car, she slammed the door in his face, locked the door, and JB slammed on the window with frustration about what just happened.

Well, this is the storyboard for our music video. It'll be a lot better when we actually film it compared to how it seems to be by just me writing what will happen. Trust me!!!

Hello World, Let's get to adding the finishing touches to the film. First, I went straight to the easiest tweak to get it over with, the spooky scene. Like I mentioned before, my mom said that it was too fast, so I slowed it down a bit. Rather than having the speed at 1.2x, I brought it down to 1.1x. By adjusting it the slightest bit, it made it better to notice and see spooky yet not interfere with the length of the video. Next, I went through and found every scene that included dialogue. One of the feedback that I received was that the music was too loud whoever the characters were talking. So, I lowered the volume a bit for every scene that involved talking. This took a while because only a small amount of scenes had no audio or conversation, meaning I had to edit the volume on post of the scenes. This process wasn't too bad but it took a good chunk of time, but the worst was yet to come. Fixing the timing of the titles was definitely the most time consuming adjustment I had...

Hello World, It's time for feedback. I first went to my parents to show them my film and get their opinions of it. My mom liked it a lot, but some things that she said was that the subtitles were going by too fast. Due to the how quick the subtitles appeared and disappeared from the scene, she was barely able to read what was written. Another comment that she had was that the scene where spooky appears in Daniel's room was too fast as well. According to her, she didn't really notice that spooky was in the room due to how fast the scene was. My dad didn't have much to critic about the film other than that he didn't like the transition to the flashback. He said it was too dramatic and it didn't really fit the film. He also suggested that instead of the Giovanna and Spooky facing the same way, we should invert Giovanna's phone call scene to make it look like they are actually talking to one another.
